About the Role
Key responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing processes to remain in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for MMF.
- Support manager/associate director with compliance processes and systems for Novartis and specific legal entities being serviced by MMF.
- Assist in maintaining collaborative platforms and shared drive with all processes, business rules and documents relating to Compliance activities.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining all SOX related documentation for MMF.
- Work with Associate Director/Manager(s) to provide communications and training as needed across the organization.
- Prepare analysis and reports to enable the development of strategic long-term financial and business plans through the provision of accurate and timely data and analysis.
- Support the implementation of risk management, financial compliance and controls (Business Process Controls [BPC], Internal and External Audits), and assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
- Internal customer satisfaction with quality, appropriateness, and timeliness of financial analyses provided -Reliability, timeliness and accuracy of budgetary and financial forecasts -100% compliance with all global and local procedures and policies
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s or equivalent 4-Year University degree required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, computer science, data analytics or finance, preferably within Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry.
- Strong customer orientation with ability to work cross-functionally across the organization.
- Proactive mind-set and ability to execute multiple assignments simultaneously and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to challenge status quo and propose alternatives
Desirable Requirements:
- Degree subject area in preferably in Business, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting; working toward CISA / CPA a plus
- Understanding of vendor contracts preferred
Benefits & Rewards
The salary for this position is expected to range between $85,400 and $158,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
