About the Role
Stakeholder Communication & Requirement Gathering
- Engage with cross-functional teams including product, AI/ML, engineering, and business stakeholders to define and prioritize use cases.
- Drive discovery sessions to map data workflows and identify metadata, ontology, and data modeling needs.
- Capture user feedback and process gaps to iteratively refine data semantics and metadata strategies.
Business Process Mapping & Improvement
- Analyze and document current-state business processes, identifying opportunities for semantic enrichment and metadata-driven optimization.
- Maintain detailed process documentation—including workflows, use cases, and user stories—to support transparency and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with data stewards and governance teams to align metadata and ontology practices with business objectives and standards.
- Support the development and refinement of conceptual and logical data models, ensuring alignment with analytics and product use cases through collaborative reviews, metadata standardization, and data dictionary maintenance.
Process Automation & Efficiency
- Identify opportunities for automating metadata curation, data modeling, and ontology management workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to implement scalable, automated solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business, technical, and governance teams to ensure semantic alignment and data quality.
- Coordinate with design, infrastructure, ML, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of semantic models and metadata frameworks into enterprise platforms.
- Support training and onboarding of data stewards and business users on semantic standards and tools.
Qualification & Work Experience:
BE/B. Tech or equivalent degree with relevant experience of 2-3 years in Business and process analyst.
