About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement strategies, execution plans, and governance frameworks for data initiatives across the commercial domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a primary liaison among cross-functional teams, promoting data integrity, accessibility, and scalability to facilitate superior customer experiences.
- Uphold compliance with established data governance policies and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information; conduct periodic audits to verify adherence to these standards.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure reliable data is available for reporting and data science applications.
- Define and manage data dictionaries and metadata repositories to enhance data discoverability and usability.
- Support the development of reusable data assets and frameworks that accelerate time-to-insight for commercial teams
- Remain informed on industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to data governance, recommending necessary updates to existing procedures.
Education (Minimum/Desirable):
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Experience / Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a data strategy/quality lead or data governance manager in a global organization, with proven success in leading large-scale enterprise programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and data standards, with domain expertise in at least one of the following areas: Pharma R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain, or Marketing and Sales. Experience in Pharma/Life Sciences is highly preferred.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL design, and data integration from multiple sources.
- Working knowledge of implementing / governing data engineering pipelines for downstream commercial analytics consumption.
- Proficient understanding of DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM frameworks; relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Stitching business and technical metadata information on Collibra or related tools to democratize data usability across the enterprise.
- Good understanding of establishing the definitive framework for implementing AI governance
- Exceptional leadership abilities and the aptitude to influence key stakeholders in international markets.
- Superior communication and collaboration skills, particularly with senior leadership.
