About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison across Finance, Digital Finance, Data & Tools, and DDIT to align data product operations.
- Understand and navigate Finance processes, KPIs, and systems, including Novartis financial data sources and flows.
- Collaborate with Business Process Leads and technical teams to translate financial needs into operational solutions.
- Drive cross-product operational changes through proactive communication across Digital Finance product teams.
- Oversee end-to-end operational activities for central data assets, including monthly closings and financial planning cycles.
- Design and automate standard data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data products.
- Define and govern Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data load calendars, and operational status updates.
- Bridge IT development and operational teams to ensure smooth transitions and continuity in data product operations.
- Lead retrospectives with product data teams to enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability across tools.
- Support master data and security data assets, including access controls, data sharing reviews, and lifecycle maintenance.
Essential for the role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, ideally within data platforms and Agile environments.
- Proven ability to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables across complex data product lifecycles.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, translating business needs into actionable product requirements.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing scopes with business and technical partners.
- Familiarity with finance domain processes and systems; understanding of financial data flows is a plus.
- Solid grasp of modern data architectures including Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh.
- Experience with T-SQL, data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), and ETL pipelines; understanding of BI tools and data visualisation concepts is a plus.
Desirable for the role:
- Experience working in multi-functional teams across various organisational levels and business domains.
- Familiarity with enterprise data management and governance practices, including master data and security operations.
