Novartis is looking for a Team Lead Quality Lab Services (Fixed-Term, 1.5 Years) to ensure the performance, compliance, and efficiency of pharmaceutical testing operations. In this role, you will coordinate analytical testing for product launches, market releases, stability studies, and method transfers, while managing resources, budget, and safety. You will ensure full compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and Novartis Quality policies, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Quality Compliance: Oversee Quality Control of analyzed products, maintain inspection readiness, and represent the testing center before health authorities.
- Implement Quality Systems: Guarantee compliance with Quality Agreements, supervise documentation, and manage investigations of deviations and quality events.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Plan and execute activities in line with GMP norms, ensure cost-effective operations, and promote continuous improvement and lean practices.
- Manage Performance & Budget: Monitor laboratory KPIs, prepare quality reports, and manage budgets and investments effectively.
- Lead and Develop Teams: Ensure adequate staffing, oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation, and foster a safe, motivated work environment.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong client communication, ensure timely delivery of Certificates of Analysis and reports, and align capacities with customer forecasts.
- Ensure Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce HSE procedures and occupational health and safety legislation across all operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication processes with internal teams and external partners to ensure transparency and timely escalation of issues.
Essential Requirements:
- University degree in a scientific discipline, with strong knowledge of Analytical Chemistry.
- Fluent in Romanian and English (spoken and written).
- Minimum 5 years in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Unit Management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid knowledge of compliance, analytical, and regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical products.
- Expertise in change management, project management, and staff motivation.
- Advanced GMP knowledge and technical understanding of physico-chemical laboratories.
- Strong decision-making and effective communication skills.
