About the Role
Associate Director – Data Management
Location – Hyderabad #LI Hybrid
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for talent and career development of direct reports, including performance management to meet the operational demands. Providing operational and subject matter expertise (clinical and data management) in the management and execution of NIS/LIS, RCs and IITs.
- Responsible for the execution of assigned clinical trial activities, including timelines and quality of deliverables.
- Work close with clinical and medical leads to provide SME support of Data Management. Perform periodical data review.
- Participate as Data Management core member in all study related meetings and provide Data Management inputs as applicable. Drives productivity and efficiency measures to meet Novartis strategic imperatives and productivity targets.
- Collaboration and support in vendor governance for Data Management activities. Monitors and tracks KPIs &KQIs. Proactively alert CS&TA leadership on possible risks and issues. Take proactive measures to improve KPIs & KQIs.
- Understands and complies with company SOPs and GCP’s; contributes to continuous improvement in SOPs and local Working Practices
- Supports recruitment and talent retention; coaches and develops associates to enable them to provide the highest levels of scientific and technical capabilities. Establishes a group founded on innovation, high performance and trust.
- Any other clinical activities as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- University graduate / postgraduate in life sciences, pharmacy, computer science or medicine with relevant industry experience in Clinical Data Management
- 8+ years relevant Clinical Data Management industry experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities and experience of mentoring or training others.
- Experience in managing a team. Prior Clinical Data Management experience is required and Prior medical affairs experience preferred.
- Excellent understanding and demonstrated application of Good Clinical Practices and applicable Standard Operating Procedures including industry compliance and ethical requirements.
- Effective oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate drive program strategy, contribute protocol development.
- Advanced planning and tracking skills with attention to detail. Well-organized, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management
- Excellent computer skills: good knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint and the ability to learn Novartis proprietary software.Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques applicable to constantly changing environment. Ability to work independently and direct others.
- Ability to mentor and train department associates in a positive and effective manner with strong customer focus. Ability to communicate remotely with effective organizational and time management skills.
