About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of internal and outsourced projects from initiation to operations transition
  • Monitor execution, establish governance, and manage risks and issues effectively
  • Ensure optimal use of resources and project management tools and practices
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives
  • Support enterprise IT portfolio management through standards, training, and analytics
  • Provide transparent reporting and ensure complete project documentation
  • Own project status, risks, and issues, reporting to governance bodies with clear actions
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory policies within project scope
  • Collaborate across teams, domains, and strategic suppliers to ensure project success
  • Support strategic planning and drive implementation with senior leadership

Essential Requirements

  • University degree in informatics, computer science, business, or equivalent professional experience
  • Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP, Agile, Waterfall /Scrum, or PRINCE2 is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project management
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex project interdependencies
  • Experience working in regulated environments with strong focus on quality and compliance
  • Familiarity with clinical development systems, processes, and tools is desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project conditions
  • Experience with internal budgeting, planning, and project tracking tools used at Novartis

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience delivering GxP-compliant solutions within clinical IT and operational technology environments
  • Knowledge of finance tools for budgeting, planning, and execution tracking.
