About the Role
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy and Operations
- Aligns the CPO Medical Affairs portfolio strategy with Regional and Global strategies and plans.
- Establishes and implements local study protocols, reports and publication; is responsible for execution of Novartis Medical Affairs related local studies in the CPO.
- Leads medical communication, medical education and medical expert interaction at the country level.
- Ensures execution of medical affairs activities in the country with highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Ensures medical training of commercial associates.
- Contributes to regional Medical plans, including evidence generation plans, where applicable.
- Acts as main point of contact with Patient advocacy groups.
- Builds and executes the local Medical Affairs Plan and Medical External Engagement Plan, based on stakeholder needs and in line with the strategic plans.
- Supervises promotional and non-promotional materials preparation and checks their correctness and compliance with national and company’s requirements/regulations from the medical point of view.
- Acts as a senior partner for a product/ group of products; is single point of contact for TA related communication with region.
- Contributes to regulatory documents (SmPC, BSS), and reimbursement files to health authorities
- Hybrid position implies 50% time allocation to desk work and 50% time allocation for field activities.
- On time reports own received spontaneous adverse events (AE) and technical complaints for all Novartis products.
Development activities:
- Assists in resolution/resolving country/CPO specific issues in clinical trial preparation/execution.
- Supports in contacting local physicians regarding international and local research projects.
- Develops and manages long-term relationships (in conjunction with peers) with external stakeholders / medical experts.
- May represent Novartis at key external Scientific, Clinical, Medical and Regulatory meetings.
- If needed, involves HCPs to obtain their support/advice or participation in specific medical and scientific activities such as advisory boards, education of other HCPs and drafting of publications.
- Responds to unsolicited requests from Medical Experts and other key stakeholders by sharing data on Novartis products.
- Works within Ethics & Compliance policies -Achievement of annual targets for medical activities

- English
Work Experience:
- Previous expoerience in pharmaceutical industry at least 2 years. Previous experience in Medical Affairs would be considered as advantage.
