Strategic Planning – PMO

About the Role:
This role supports the development and execution of strategic priorities for Novartis Operations, ensuring alignment with the broader Novartis Enterprise Strategy. The individual will assist in preparing strategic deliverables, proposals, and presentation materials for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include conducting data analysis, supporting benchmarking efforts for strategic initiatives, and contributing to governance and PMO activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in research and data analytics activities that allow us to gain new insights and help develop and align the 3-year Operations strategy with enterprise-wide priorities.
- Support cross functional transformation programs for Operations.
- Design, organize and operationalize KPI cockpit dashboards populated with up-to-date information for decision making/ triage
- Support in preparing key updates, Strategic deliverables, materials to executive committee and Board of Directors
- Support in disseminating strategic priorities, performance updates and key highlights to all associates.
- Contribute to process excellence initiatives, including automation, AI integration, and continuous improvement.
- Help organize and facilitate governance forums and leadership workshops to enable effective decision-making.
- Provide support in initiatives aimed at strengthening supply chain resilience. Assist in collecting, analysing, reporting performance insights and benchmarking

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with an MBA from a top-tier institution (preferably IIMs, ISB, or FMS)
- Work experience in the pharmaceuticals / life sciences or consulting industry
- 4–7 years of overall experience within strategy / analytics Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
- Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in top-tier consulting firms / analytics experience
- Project management and stakeholder engagement
